Health and Social Care Courses in Health & Safety

Health and Safety and Hygiene in Health and Social Care

These courses are aimed at anyone in the health and social care sectors, including hospital staff, care home workers, home carers and volunteers. Everyone involved in providing care has to have training to tackle the risk of Health Care Acquired Infection (HCAI), like E. coli and C. diff.

We run two health and safety courses aimed at the health and social care sector:

  1. CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in Health and Social Care
This course will give you a strong understanding of health and safety in a health a social care environment.  The course is based on the principles of the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace, but is adapted specifically to the health and social care sector. 2. CIEH Level 2 Hygiene in Health and Social Care
There are over a million employed carers in the UK, with millions more providing care for friends and relatives. It is the responsibility of everyone in a care role to reduce the risk of infection and illness caused by poor hygiene. The CIEH Level 2 Award in Hygiene for Social Care teaches the principles of good hygiene in hospitals, care homes and the patients’ own homes.
