Self Defence

Self Defence and Safe Escape Training

When conflict resolution is no longer an option, you might find you’re in an aggressive situation where you need to break away from someone and defend yourself. It is a daunting prospect but we teach you in a way that makes it less threatening, in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

Self Defence Courses

Our breakaway and self-defence course has been designed for anyone who may be at risk of encountering physical violence at work. The breakaway and self-defence training is delivered at our training base in Havant, near Portsmouth in Hampshire. We also travel nationwide and are happy to come to your premises or a venue closer to you.

Self Protection Training

By the end of the course, you will be ready to tackle any difficult, aggressive situation. Our 1-day BTEC Level 2 Award in Breakaway & Self – Defence will give you the confidence to deal with violent patients or customers.

To pass the Breakaway and Self – Defence course you will have to:

  • Understand the Law in relation to the use of physical force for personal defence and the defence of others;
  • Demonstrate the appropriate and effective physical skills for the purpose of breaking away and defending against a violent assault.

There is no formal assessment but there will be group discussion about current Policy and its effects. View the full BTEC Level 2 Award in Breakaway & Self – Defence course details.

Self Defence for Women

“That wouldn’t happen to me” is a common attitude and for the most part is true, but everyone could be at risk from aggression and violent situations. How many times have you walked through an empty car park and felt a little uneasy? Or been walking down the street and been a little unnerved by the man walking behind you? You may have even been a victim of violent crime. More often than not those situations come to nothing but it makes sense for you to be aware and be prepared.

Self Defence Courses for Women

We know that the idea of learning, let alone using self-defence as a women is intimidating, that’s why we use female instructors to run our self-defence for women courses. Our instructors are sensitive to your needs and feelings and do the training in a relaxed, non-threatening environment where you can really get to grips with self-defence… and even have some fun in the process.

Contact us to have an informal chat about self-defence for women, and what you would like to get out of a course. We can then make sure that you get the right instruction at the right price.
