SIA Licence
Your SIA Licence application
We have produced this to help you fill out your SIA Licence application form.
The SIA guidance notes tell you which questions you must complete on the application form. Failure to follow the instructions may result in your application being rejected as incomplete, whether this is a first, renewal or additional licence application. Use black or blue ink throughout the form and on the back of your photograph.
Filling in your SIA Licence Application
Do not deface the form in any way and write clearly in BLOCK CAPITALS. If the SIA cannot read any part of your application, theywill reject the application as incomplete. If you make a mistake do not overwrite it or use correction fluid – simply cross through the error with a single line and correct as necessary.
Your application form and documents will be returned to you after they have been checked and scanned. Do not submit documents that you will need in the immediate future, for example your passpor t, if you are due to go abroad in the next four weeks.

One of the main reasons why SIA Licence Applications are rejected is because they do not meet the strict Identification requirements laid down by the SIA. Your training provider should talk you through what is acceptable and what is not. After all your training provider should check / have checked ID to the same standard as the SIA requirement prior to your training.
