Close Protection Training
SPP Solutions Ltd is now in a position to offer SIA Close Protection training. We have been working hard behind the scenes to gain awarding body accreditation and now we have that accreditation we are able to offer the BTEC Level 3 in Close Protection Operations. The training will take place in the UK on the South Coast near Portsmouth in Hampshire and Chichester in West Sussex where we have access to 21, 000 acres of real estate on which to train. Having worked on CP tasks at home and overseas we have a good knowledge of the Industry and want to pass that knowledge on through quality training.
Close Protection. The reality
Close Protection can be boring antisocial and tiring work but also very rewarding. You should be flexible in your outlook as things can change minute to minute and the client can change itinerary without warning. Your client will expect you t be able to get them from A to B safely and on time so you have to have a good knowledge of road networks and cities that you may be called to work in. The client is paying for a service and you are only as good as your last job. Behind the scenes there is research recce and background information to be gained all of which you may be asked to do.

Close Protection Course
What SPP Solutions Ltd wont do is sell you something that you don’t need. Many of our rivals offer firearms training overseas. Why do you need to do that if you are working in the UK? In short you don’t. If, however your aspiration is to work overseas then we have access to firearms training facilities. Our firearms expert gained his experience in the British Military where he was qualified in all aspects of shooting and range management, able to run everything from pistol shooting to Grenade, Mortar and Anti Tank Ranges gaining his accreditation at the Centre of Excellence for Dismounted Infantry in Wales.
We have also completed the Royal Military Police Protective Mobile Skills (PMS) Course which incorporates defensive driving and using firearms in a Close Protection environment. Being Health and Safety Executive (HSE) registered we are also able to offer the HSE 3 Day First Aid at Work Course to anyone who attends without this qualification. You will need the HSE 3 Day First Aid at Work course in order to be granted an SIA Licence in Close Protection.
