First Aid at Work Changes 01 Oct 2009
With the introduction of the new HSE First Aid at Work Course structure on the 01 Oct 2009, comes a responsibilty for companies to respond accordingly by updating their First Aid Risk Assessment and policy to ensure they are appropriately covered.
We are able to help. We can provide an assessment of your First Aid needs and advise on which route to go down. It may be that you would benefit from the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course it may well be that this is not suitable and you require staff to be fully Fist Aid at Work conversant. Let us help.
If you have staff currently trained as Appointed Persons Then this is particularly important. The Appointed Person course could not be removed totally from First Aid Training as this would have needed an Act of Parliament BUT with the introduction of the new HSE EFAW course there are very few, if any workplaces where an Appointed Person course would cover the Fist Aid needs.
The HSE have recommended that employers “seriously consider” EFAW training.
Let us take the sting out of the new structure and offer no hassle advice as to your compliance. info@sppsolutions.com
