History of SIA Door Supervisor Training

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) was born out of the introduction, in the UK of the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (PSIA 2001) SIA Door Supervisor Training was the first Security activity to be licensed and arguably has seen the most change in the last 8 years.

The course will be run at Langstone Technology Park and is run over 3 rather than 4 days.

We run these courses to BII standards and in partnership with the Door Supervisor Training Organisation (DSTO)

We would like to announce that the Door Supervisors course scheduled for the end of Nov has been cancelled due to lack of numbers enrolling.

We have added course dates in Dec as an alternative and can announce a Christmas special price of £140 per person. The course will run from Fri 11 Dec 09 to Sun 13 Dec 09. This course is again being run in conjunction with the Door Supervisor Training Organisation (DSTO)

Our next Door Supervisors Course is being run at our Langstone Technology Park HQ over the weekend of the 30th, 31st and 01st Nov 2009.

Places remain available but book early.

Having a Door Supervisors Licence does not mean that the holder has to work the doors. Holders of a DS Licence can operate in the wider Corporate and Retail Security roles. Our weekend course held in conjunction with the Door Supervisor Training Organisation (DSTO) are run over 3 days and not the normal 4.

The contact hours remain the same as for the 4 day course.

The Door Supervisor course being run this weekend at Langstone Technology Park will be the BII version of the qualification.

This will be the second time we have run a weekend course and it has proved successful due to people having the opportunity to book one day off work (Fri) and gain a qualification to enable them to look for work or have a change of career direction.
