Dealing with Trauma Course

Anyone who is not breathing is seen as a priority casualty however an arterial bleed can be far more life threatening in the short term.

This course will help you identify a catastrophic bleed and deal with it using a variety of methods.

  • Anyone requiring a regulated First Aid training qualification
  • Sports Professionals and Personal Trainers (including Football Association, Rugby, Sailing, Hockey)
  • Security and law enforcement
How much does the course cost?

The course costs £85 per person + VAT.
Course structure

The course covers and expands on the following areas:
  • Chain of survival
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Heart Problems
  • Abnormal Heart Rhythms
  • Resuscitation with an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • Unconscious patient
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Choking
Pass marks

There are no set criteria however a pass / fail will be given by the tutor depending on how the candidate conducts him / herself during the day.
Entry requirements

There are no academic requirements to join this course, however individuals should be able to kneel and perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Assessment method

The course is continually assessed over the day.

1 Day (the qualification lasts for 1 Year).
